Over a period of thirty years, DP Lindegaard collected information from miscellaneous records including parish registers, newspapers, criminal records, wills and other sources to create an index of historical inhabitants of the Forest of Kingswood, including the parishes of Bitton, St George, Mangotsfield, Siston, Wick & Abson, St Philip & St Jacob etc.
